Should Soda Machines Be Allowed In School

One day the principal asked me, “Molly do you think we should get soda machines at Glen Yermo? At that moment on that sunny Friday afternoon I knew that I had to make a choice. Should I say Yes or No, in the end, I said, “No, I don’t think that would be a good thing to do.” So, soda machines should NOT be at school because it will be too much sugar! Drinking soda can also cause unhealthy habits! It will be a waste of money for school and the students. This is why soda machines should not be on school grounds! O One reason why we shouldn’t have soda machines at school is because kids will get too much sugar! Your dentist will be very mad at you if you consume all that sugar, because you will get so many cavities and they will …show more content…
Some of those habits would be forgetting your homework, not throwing your trash away anymore, or you could not come to class at all! Bad habits can also come with bad grades, and parents won’t like that! Some bad habits can lead to being mad all the time because you want more and more soda. Many people love soda, but it can lead to so many unhealthy habits! Finally, soda machines should not be permitted at school because the school will be wasting their money! The school will be wasting their money because they will have to spend money to refill the soda machines! Students will also be wasting their money and their recess, just to get as many sodas as they can carry. Parents will waste their money too because kids will say, “Mom can I have a Dollar for a pencil,” when it’s actually for soda! It’s just plain ridiculous to put soda machines in school. In conclusion sodas shouldn’t be allowed at school. Not in elementary school, middle school or high school, but mabe in college. Sodas can waste money, cause unhealthy habits and they have way too much sugar in them. NEVER should a soda machine touch school grounds or the teacher’s lounge!
