Should it be illegal to smoke in Australia?

I think it should be illegal to smoke in Australia

Audience: Year 8 class

Smoking is the single largest cause to preventable illness and death in Australia.
Smoking kills more than 19,000 Australians each year – 52 Australians each day is it worth it?

My first argument is that Smoking Will ruin your lungs
A cigarette has lots of chemicals in it which leave a residue throughout the respiratory system which makes it a lot harder to breath. Smoking can cause many diseases such as:
COPD (Constriction of the airways and difficulty breathing), emphysema(Breathlessness), lung infections and more.

My second argument is that smoking is not just bad for you but for others as well
