Due to smoking having been around for such a long time and that it has not been even a century since it was considered customary to smoke many people feel entitled to their cigarettes. This attitude is often carried over to situations where smokers are asked to relocate or stop smoking when in an area with no rule saying that they cannot, and those asking are often met with hostility and a rebuttal typically sounding like “If you don’t like it then leave”. This argument could be valid if not for the fact they the smokers are usually unavoidable as they stick to the major entrances of campus buildings creating a foul odder that envelopes the area. Many other defenses of smoking will typically involve how it is their choice to smoke and that they should not be limited further in that activity, not only are these points inconsiderate of those who must wade through the waft it was also disproved that smokers have an unalienable right to their cigarettes, even less so on public places such as
