Even though she struggled to live her life she also had support from her sex ed teacher her teacher guided her and mentored her she treated her like she was her own child. Gloria could depend on her. She taught not only Gloria but her other students as well on how to care of a baby. “She was the best!”, Gloria said in her blog. Gloria went to her class frequently they built this type of mother and daughter relationship. But, when her teacher got sick and could no longer teach anymore Gloria was lost she didn’t know what to do her support was gone. School authorities took sex ed out of school Gloria completely lost control she started drinking while she was pregnant,her parents put her out and she had to live in a women's shelter. Gloria said “she thought her life was over”. In no time Gloria got back on her feet and remembered what her teacher told her in their many talks. She stopped drinking and she moved back in with her parents Gloria story is living proof that sex ed was needed and used in school because when sex ed was in Gloria school she had support,she was happy but without it she completely fell apart. Teens need sex ed we need that extra support.
