No, I don't believe schools should be required to teach cursive writing. Having computer skills I feel is more important in this day and age than handwriting is because of how rapid technology is growing and how rapid technology use is increasing. Just like article 2 stated, cursive isn't really needed for much other than a written signature but as technology increases the use of a written signature is more irrelevant due to approval of electronic signatures. I do believe cursive handwriting is becoming less useful in todays society, but I do believe that there are benefits related to cursive handwriting.
