According to the history of school uniforms they were originally used as a form of discipline or a way to identify the lower class kids. Uniforms were also first used by Cambridge University. Some people think about school uniforms today they think that it mean they are higher class, because they go to a private school. Others think that uniforms represent the lower class families because they were originally used to identify the lower class or orphans. Today they are used to show that you are of the higher class, because school uniforms are now mainly used in private schools. Private schools usually cost a lot of money to just get into.

A lot of people say that school uniforms have many positive effects on kids. Some of the positives are; they encourage discipline, help identify intruders in the school, and improves attendance.
