Imagine walking out on the field with the crowd cheering for you under the Friday night lights. What if you never got that experience? The crowd won’t be cheering anymore because there won’t be any teams to cheer for. You won’t experience the adrenalin rush, and you won’t get to have a scoring touchdown. This is a common situation all around the world. Some schools are getting rid of students’ passion, and what they put their hearts into. Kids are losing what they love doing. Schools should not get rid of sports, because sports help relieve stress, they improve academic and physical health, and not every kid can afford club sports. Schools should not get rid of sports because sports help relieve stress. Athletes who participates in school sports get higher scores in math and English. It also improves your health. Also they have less dropout rates. A study shows students involved in sports are better at core classes such as math, science, social studies, and language arts.
