There are pros and cons to having uniforms, a con is the amount of money that has to be spent on these items. Students have argued against this rule for years. It costs too much money, some schools seem to pay more attention to what is being worn instead of what the students are learning and uniforms are just not comfortable.

The uniforms that schools force students to wear are not super comfortable. When the seasons change and the weather turns colder, it is hard to stay warm. It makes it difficult to keep warm when there is only a certain amount of items to choose from. If students attempt to dress warmer and wear a jacket that is not dresscode then they are risk getting into trouble.
A Professor at Brock University stated, "school uniforms increased the average number of assaults by about 14 [per year] in the most violent schools” (Volk,3). Wearing school uniforms has increased bullying and have had an effect on students happiness. According to
Miami- Dade public schools, middle school bullying almost doubled within one year after introducing mandatory school uniforms.
