In the years of 2017-18, there has been much debate about how early middle-high schools should start. Several middle and high schools have already pushed their school start times back to 10:00-11:00. The result: many benefits ranging from congenial health to high test scores. These schools have become more successful, and the students more jubilant. There are many benefits that come along with this simple change. Many experts agree that schools should start later, and there are many strong reasons why.

With attention to school benefits, later start times for schools improve test scores. A study conducted by the University of Minnesota, that included 9,000 high schoolers, showed that test scores went up significantly the more the school
