Should Romeo And Juliet Be Allowed To Read

Oregon City High School should give the students’ an option whether or not to read the well known ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by William Shakespeare. Students have their own opinions and should be allowed to vote if they want to read the book. He would still have Rosaline to potentially marry, however the grief took over and ended with Romeo resulting in him killing himself. …show more content…

I believe that this story is mind opening and educational with decision making. Romeo and Juliet had a tragic love and because of it Romeo died at 15 and Juliet died at 14. Some people would say it should be excluded from our school curriculum because it is sad and heart breaking but I think it should included for that reason and more. Romeo and Juliet are fifteen and fourteen so high schoolers would be able to relate to the struggles of having feelings.…
