Should religion be in public schools When schools first started in 1635 there was not a huge campus and different classrooms for every subject. But now in the 21st century there is a different teacher for every subject and different classrooms for the different subjects. In the recent years the public school campus have been removing religion on the public school campus. Yes there may be private christian schools you can go to but they cost a lot of money to attend those schools. But many public schools do not allow religion in the classrooms or teachers to talk about religion. Because there are so many different sides to having religion in schools like how this can help students in a positive way, also how this may help students do better in school, this can also help students not be afraid to other religions. …show more content…
In the article Teaching about religion in public schools can be risky, but it’s worth it by Linda K. Wertheimer states that, “Is it appropriate to have students write out the Lord’s Prayer, the Muslim statement of faith, or the Sh’ma, a key prayer in Judaism that affirms Jewish belief in one God?” This helped many students of all different religions find out how not to be scared of all the different religions in the world , and how to respect them. There are so many people that are scared to talk about religion to some people because they do not know that they are going to do or they are different religions and the at stuff has happened in the past between the two
