Should Professional Athletes Be Able To Protest Too?

Professional athletes have the same rights as us, doesn’t that mean they should be able to protest too? Some people think that because athletes have fame they shouldn’t be able to use that to there advantage. I on the other hand think differently, those athletes have earned their fame. They should be able to use it to there advantage when they are attempting to protest something that they think is wrong. For example, professional athletes have the freedom of speech just like everyone else. Just because they have fame, and we don’t, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to protest what they believe in. Some athletes have actually made a difference in the world because, they use their fame to help them. In addition, it is typical when a famous athlete protest that they will be shunned for using their statues to help with their cause. Muhammad Ali, was a boxer in 1967, During that time, he refused to join the war, he didn’t believe that he should have to join based on the fact that others thought he should. For the fact that when they use there fame to help them protest they get the results that they want typically. The reason they get the results that they is because of their fans. The have fans that idolize them, fans that would do pretty much anything for them because, they are famous. In conclusion, athletes should be able to protest, no matter what their status is.
