“A young black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, was shot and killed by a police officer in 2014, because of this, and the jury’s decision to not punish the officer, people in the community and across the country erupted in protest which caused the community leaders to order the police officers to wear body cameras.” Police officers should be obligated to wear body cameras for the well-being of the public and the officers themselves. There has been many cases where officers have used excessive amounts of force when dealing with people, cases such as Walter Scott in North Charleston, and the death of Freddie Gray.
