Should Pluto Be A Planet?

According to many different articles filled with facts and opinions, Pluto should be a planet. Scientists have been debating for years whether Pluto should considered a planet and part of our solar system. Pluto should still be a planet regardless of its size, and there are plenty more information to understand why it should be a planet, especially in our solar system.
First of all, according to, Discovery Education, “For 80 years, schoolchildren have been taught that the Solar System has nine planets, from innermost Mercury to outermost Pluto. The astronomers at IAU knew that demoting Pluto from planet status might upset or confuse some people. Also benefits coming from keeping Pluto as a planet are proven in the first statement of which demoting pluto is considered confusing and upsetting to learning environments. If scientists let Pluto a planet more kids would be able to learn without the confusion of the other sources that state Pluto is not a planet. With Pluto being a planet it also shows that labels don’t always matter. It is shown that the word “planet” changes over time and that Pluto is still a planet. This supports the statement that Pluto should be a planet because just because it isn’t classified as a planet anymore doesn’t change the fact that it was once learned and was a planet. Reasoning like these help people understand why Pluto should be a planet. In conclusion, as stated before scientists have been debating whether pluto should be a planet or not, but based on history and labels, it’s clear to see that it should be.
