My grandfather studied theology for 4 years while under the mentoring of priest ,but after an incident where a pregnant 16-year-old girl came into the monasteries searching for guidance and shelter was denied by the priest who would not accept her for being pregnant out of wedlock, she would have been forced to live on the streets if my grandfather had not informed the distressed girl about Planned Parenthood … he soon after abandoned his studies of the priesthood and became my grandfather. The only reason defunding planned parenthood is so intensely supported by the public is that the government would be defunding abortions but shockingly, by law federal funding cannot support abortions. That's right taxpayer money — your money — does not go towards funding those services. Federally funding abortions has been banned since 1976. Instead, private donations, money made from fees for service and non-government health services revenue is used to fund abortions.
So if you were one of the manipulated adherents to defunding planned parenthood who was led to believe that the government would be withdrawing their financial support from abortions you've been bamboozled! because that claim is absolute rubbish and it has been for a while, now that you know that all your supporting is taking away free healthcare services and the repression of women. Like I said don't let the politician trick

What she said sparked me to truly see how much more this organization is then just a health center ,so I asked Powell with this thought in mind if she thought any of the injustices she learned about in college made her think that Planned Parenthood would be the solution to solving them, in less words she responded with this: Planned Parenthood's services remove the economic barrier that prevents families and individuals from getting the health care they need and is a way to help and educate the women who have historically and socially been denied their rights that they fought for during the riotous times of the women's liberation in the 60s and

This bill passes House amended on September 18, 2015 and is currently places on Senate Legislative calendar under general orders (Civic Impulse, 2016). H.R. 3134 wants to suspend federal funds to FFPA and its affiliates that performed abortion for one year, and the funding is redirected to community health centers instead. However, the federal funds continue if any affiliates are willing to cease abortion services. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the state will defund the Planned Parenthood through the Medicaid program. The Health and Human Services of Texas informed the organization of its decision via a letter. The letter to the Planned Parenthood notified it of a series of health violations, that could potentially lead to spread of infectious diseases, as the undercover videos released by Center For Medical Progress (CFMP) showed the fetal body parts handled by the staff and buyers without mandatory precautions. It expressed concern that the clinics were "liable, directly or by affiliation, for a series of serious Medicaid program violations."…

The government plans to defund it because they think they own a women’s body. This is false; women own their bodies, not a governing body, a man, or even another woman. The…

Planned Parenthood should not lose any funding or be shut down. Despite recent abortion controversies, Planned Parenthood should not be held responsible for pro-abortion advocates. The organization is pro-choice, and intends to give the choice back to the people in order to allow them to choose a better life for themselves. If Planned Parenthood loses its funding or gets shut down, people everywhere, but especially low-income families, will be put in a difficult standing in affordable health care and wellness. Furthermore, shutting down Planned Parenthood would put many people at a greater health risk than they have now, and worst yet, it will not end abortion.…

There is nothing all the more monetarily and economically determinative to a lady than choosing if or when to have kids, a choice to which Planned Parenthood has made an enormous commitment for a huge number of people. Planned Parenthood is the reason social moderates keep on assaulting abortion, as well as contraception in case one is against abortion and contraception, it is not just about abortion. Also, it is the reason Planned Parenthood has turned into a talisman to one side, an image of what they fear most ladies controlling their own, particular regenerative predetermination. 66% of the 1 million premature births in this nation are undertaken by private professionals other than Planned Parenthood, yet there are no mass dissents and…

Many of the people who have a problem with this medical service, have an issue because it goes against their religious beliefs; but laws, or bills, should ever be swayed by personal beliefs of an individual. One of the most important ideas that structures our national government is the separation of church and state; one of the rights given to all American citizens is freedom of religion, which many people in our country misinterpret. While the people who approve of the bill to defund Planned Parenthood argue that the organization goes against their personal beliefs, they never seem to think about those whose rights they are diminishing. When the Republican Party makes these “proclamations [they] ignore individual rights, freedom of religion, and the fact that faith as a guiding principle can be dangerous when the foundational teachings of social justice are ignored” (Messina-Dysert). These people are ranking their own religious beliefs and morals above providing health care for people in need, especially those who in poverty; as Gina Messina-Dysert stated, “[Supreme] Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said it best: ‘Reproductive freedom is in a sorry situation in the United States.…

Imagine a world where a small group of people could destroy a nation-wide organization with slanderous lies. If the Republicans in Congress get their way, Americans wouldn’t have to imagine. Planned Parenthood is an organization that provides many essential health services for both men and women. By preventing Planned Parenthood from receiving federal money, it means people with government funded health care cannot use it for the services provided at the clinics. Many people do not know the exact statistics of the services Planned Parenthood provide, and because of that they may have skewed ideas of the clinic. Without federal funding Planned Parenthood patients who use government provided health care would have to pay for all of the services of the clinic out of their own pocket (Bassett). For people with private health care, this would not be an issue, but for others who lack the money to pay for private health care, they may be in trouble. Planned Parenthood has said that two-thirds of their patients are “low-income and have no other primary health care provider” (Bassett).…

According to Danielle Paquette, a writer for the Washington Post, says that,” the effects of the legislation on federal spending are highly uncertain”. We really do not know whether or not the government can actually have the budget to keep the program running. Even if it can the program is dealing with many problems of their own. According to Kristen Wyatt, one of the writers of the associated press on ABC News, writes that,” a town of 13,000 where a clinic providing abortions was recently vandalized with a hatchet”. The attacker of this attack was clearly not happy with the fact that Planned Parenthood actually offers abortions.…

Women’s rights has been an issue in the United States since the early 1800’s and until all people are comfortable discussing the fact that in many parts of the world, women have no say in what they can do with their bodies or how it’s treated. A woman should be the only one who can decide what is best for her body. There is only so much that women can do when the one place that helps women with checkups and abortion based questions, Planned Parenthood, is being defunded or closed down. “The House of Representatives is expected to pass a budget reconciliation bill that guts the Affordable Care Act, pulls roughly $450 million in federal assistance from Planned Parenthood and prevents Medicaid recipients from getting reimbursed…
