Yes because they are good dogs it just deepened on the way the owner treats the dog. They are good service dogs and hunters. Pit bulls should be allowed as pets because they are watch dogs and the can protect you of any danger near by they can protect your family from any danger near them. I know that you think that Pit Bulls are a bad dog but they can protect you and warn you of any danger near you or some guy trying to steal something. Just because you think that Pit Bulls are bad dose not mean that you can't give them a try. America is a free country so we should be aloud to have what ever type of dog we want as long as you take responsibility for there actions. My friend has a pit bull named Ralph. Cutest dog ever! He is so sweet! Start loving pit bulls. I have 5 dogs at home and all of them are pits and I love them so much none of them have snapped at me they are loving an caring and they protect. I am 12 years old and I no how to raise them an stupid people kill them because they do not raise them to be loving caring and how they are supposed to be. Pit bulls should be kept as pets because they have a lot of helping traits, to help their owners in many different ways, and they should be loved to. They are no different than any other dog breed. Pit bull aren't the only aggressive dog breed every dog can attack so why only ban pit bulls. When you go one the news and it says " a PitBull has attacked someone " usually it is not a PitBull it is a short haired breed of dog. PitBulls also don't attack just because, there is someone making them latch out. Its not based on what type of dog they are it is based on the owner. These dogs are protective, but not protective to just latch out on anyone who is not there owner. These are dogs not criminals. You can't judge them on what one of them did. Pits are the innocent judged breed, beautiful, mistreated, and misunderstood. Please just give one a try.When proven that all pit bulls are aggressive then let the law continue. Why is it fair that when a pit bull is taken under by the RSPCA for example they don't get re-homed? They get put to sleep. They do not get assets they get put down without second though. Yes this breed of dog is popular for fighting not all do. It all depends on the owner and how the dog is brought up. Turkeys fight, they are aggressive, so why is it that they get re-homed and get all the medical attention they need? This breed has developed a bad name due to animal cruelty by the owners. I got bitten by a German shepherd on my right arm when I was 5 and nothing was done to that dog. I was also bitten by a rat when I was 3 and nothing was done to these animals because they hadn't gained a name. That is killing the species of dog.
