The factors that contribute to how the internet negatively affects people's brains are hyperlinks, distracting media, and increased tendency to skim. For example, while on the internet anything could distract us like ads, making us want to click them and in the end people do click them, and searching for other things. Another example would be, “maybe this is just out cultural lot: we live in the age of skimming. I want to finish the whole thing, I really do. I wish you would, too. Really stop quitting!
