Should People Have To Be License Before Becoming A Parent Essay

What if people had to attend a class for a certain amount of time, having to achieve a score of an 80 or above on the final exam to become a parent? The class would better prepare parents by giving them tips on how to successfully care for a child the proper way. After attending the class and passing with an 80 or above, the people attending the class would be able to go out and attain their licenses to become a parent. If people were to get pregnant before having a license they would receive a fine and depending on if they're keeping the child or not they must enroll themselves in the course and acquire a license before giving birth. Raising another human is one of the most difficult tasks a person can take on, so why shouldn't they have a license to make sure they do everything right? …show more content…
Also, licenses are needed to go hunting, fishing, driving, and even to get married, yet being responsible for another person doesn't require the least bit of training. Lack of parental training, places a financial strain on social services provided by taxpayers, this can be avoided by how the parents handle their child's physical, emotional, and psychological needs in a costly and timely manner. Parents that aren't as fortunate or wealthy as others, expect to be able to lean on things like the government, their child's school teachers, and family when things begin to get difficult, but after receiving the information in classes on how to handle situations when things get hard, would reduce this issue. Being a parent can be both physically and emotionally exhausting. Parents are expected to take on many different roles such as a chef, a doctor, a therapist, a laundry mat employee, a chauffeur, etc in order to make sure that their child's physical and emotional needs are
