The people of the world have lost the meaning of the word loyalty. Does loyalty to a family member, teacher, or people on the street even exist today. Should people be loyal? This question can be interpreted in many different ways, but this essay will state that people should follow this simple yet complex question. This essay will discuss the following topics of loyalty: the action brings a sense of meaning to life, loyalty can save lives, and loyalty is required to function.
When a family member is going through a difficult time in their life, people should be there for them. For example, in the movie A Walk to Remember, the main character, Jamie, is a cancer victim who marries a man before she dies from the cancer. This man was there for her when she was bullied at school and when her body was weakening, he spent every possible moment he could with her. Loyalty is the act of devoting oneself to another person.This man is a true example of loyalty that everybody should follow in any situation. If this young woman hadn’t had this committed man the last months of her life, then what would be her reason to live?

For example, a five pound chihuahua saved a one year old from being bit by a 3 foot rattlesnake, and the dog suffered from a deadly bite that nearly killed itself. This chihuahua risked its own life for the sake of a baby that it could have ignored and prevented itself from being harmed. If a 5 pound dog can show its loyalty to their owner by saving its life, why can’t a child be loyal to it’s mother in the least? Today people all around the world are faced with life threatening situations. More individuals should be that one person to commit their own life to another's. Loyalty can save lives, so why be that
