Should People Be Allowed To Bear Arms Research Paper

People in the country have been trying to ban firearms for years. There has been conflict, preventing that, called the Second Amendment. That amendment states that American citizens have the right to bear arms. Taking away firearms some people argue, is only taking a right, granted to us by the founding fathers, away. I believe that taking firearms away would not benefit the country in the ways it should. There would still be violence, and there would still be mass killings. Taking away firearms will not change the value of human life, or the heart.
If someone wants to kill they don’t need firearms to do it. Knife attacks, vehicle attacks, and homemade explosives can do just as much damage as a firearm can, sometimes even worse. You can’t stop someone from killing by taking away one of the weapons most used. You could even use a fork to kill someone it doesn’t take much. Banning firearms will just make people lash out, causing more

People fear them not because of what they can do, but what they represent to the person. Firearms have a reputation for being used only to harm others. That’s not the only thing firearms can be used for. Firearms can be used for sporting purposes, or as a tool. By learning how to use and handle a firearm, being around a firearm doesn’t have to be a frightening experience.
The value of a human life can have a different meaning to a different person. Most people would value a human life and not be able to take it, but the people that don’t are the ones who pull that trigger which leads to most of the shootings that happen around the world. Most people argue that without firearms there would be less killings and maybe it would stop it for good. If someone feels that they are destined to kill they will kill, with or without firearms. There are many ways people can kill a large amount of people, taking away firearms doesn’t change the value of human life, or the way people see

This way of thinking ignores the existence of the 2nd Amendment in the United States Constitution. Abolishing guns altogether would not solve anything. This would only raise the sales on guns in the black market. Violence would increase drastically because if the government tried to take away one the rights given in the Constitution people would try to overthrow the government. In the documentary, Bowling for Columbine, Michael Moore interviewed some of the members in a militia in Michigan and the members were discussing that their duty was to protect the American people incase if the government became too powerful.…

Groups for stricter firearm control; for example, Handgun Control Inc. (HCl), argue that firearms do kill people. HCI argues that a firearm influences people to feel they are morally justified, superior and can end a person's life or control a situation by force. One can't place the blame on the firearm. Firearms are not animate objects that can pick their victims. As I said before, firearms require a person to pull the trigger.…

It will just cause even more crimes. We will never be able to get rid of the gun supply in the United States, it would break the second, fourth, fifth, and fourteenth amendments. The people who made the amendments were people who helped create this country. They would not make a amendment that would hurt the very thing that they created. And the number of murders has gone down in the past years, so why would we want to think about gun control now.…

In America, there is a growing perception that guns are: they are harmful, they kill, and they commit crimes, and so most guns should be banned. But, how can a gun kill or commit crimes; it is not a living thing, it is a tool. With the use of guns, America has grown to be a strong and independent country throughout history. The push to ban guns will only keep guns away from law abiding citizens since criminals, by nature, do not follow laws and respect the gun free zones. The banning of guns in America should end.…

Every time there is a mass shooting some people call the NRA and tell them there needs to be an increase in regulation for these guns so they can stop gun violence but what they don't understand is that guns have been around for so long that mostly everyone already owns a gun and once someone owns a gun you can't take it from them. If they completely banned guns I feel that would be much more dangerous as there will still be a black market for guns just like anything else that's illegal. Banning guns completely is a terrible idea because now if a robber gets his hands on a gun from the black market he can hold up any store around and what is the store owner going to do? All he will be able to do is call the police and hope he doesn't get shot. This is why I feel we should never ban guns completely because by doing that you really make everyone more likely to be hurt via a…

After obtaining guns, children and adults collect them and proceed to improve their accuracy in shooting, but getting rid of them would make the world a dangerous place. Many people who believe that guns are the leading cause of death in the United States, are incorrect. A gun is not a person, it has no feelings nor can it move on its own it cannot be personified nor be blamed for any of the actions. A gun must be wielded by a person and that person is the one responsible for pulling the trigger. If guns were banned and somehow a criminal couldn’t get his hand on one illegally, they can still kill.…

In recent years, a lot of debate had been going on about the laws pertaining to firearms. Unfortunately, with all of the mass shootings and killings being reported by the media, guns are given a bad reputation. Sadly, many people believe that they should be illegal because they are dangerous and can kill people, but what these people don’t realize is making them illegal will do a lot more harm than good. Guns have created a balance in society and if we were to take them away it could cause a lot of chaos which would result in more crime and more casualties. People deserve the right to bear arms because with proper training one could possibly save his/her life and also protect others.…
