Kewanee Colbert has a full-time job prepping food for one of those fancy gourmet meal delivery services that are booming in New York and other cities. Still, he lives in a Bronx shelter for homeless families with his fiancé and three kids, ages 2, 4, and 7. While he’s grateful that his family has a roof over their heads the family is not allowed to have any visitors; not even the kid’s grandmother, he says. The adults have a 9 p.m. curfew. They must sign in and out whenever they leave the shelter, and must log in at least once a day, or they get kicked out and must apply all over again. if we start to increase minimum wage it could decrease the number of people of unemployment and in debt drastically, also if we don’t take this matter serious enough to do something to eradicate this it could hurt the world overall because according to the most estimates of the world bank that 12.7% of the world's population lives at or below $8.90 a day which could maybe feed one person but not a family. Another argument that supporters stand with would be increasing funding's for social services which would aid millions of struggling Americans and could hopefully one day help them get out of poverty. To conclude this argument, there are many solutions that can help to diminish poverty but the main solutions are increasing funds for social services, increase minimum wage and have the government focus more on its own country than others. If we were to diminish poverty by at least 1/3 the government would have to pitch into this problem more than what there really our doing, we could easily lower poverty at a faster
