Should Middle School Students Have Snack Time

Have you ever been sitting in class desperately staring at the clock which is your ticket to lunch? You can't even pay attention to the teacher's voice because the sound of the stomach rumbling so loud that it sound like fireworks going off? Middle school students should have snack time because it can help students stay full, give energy boosts for physical activities, and can help students stay more focused. If middle school students had snack time it could improve focus and even grades. Snacking at school can lead to better nutrition during foundational years and increase energy and ability to focus (Healthy). This shows that if kids get to snack during the day they will stay more focused instead of thinking about their hungry …show more content…
Healthy snacks boost energy and prevent you from overeating (Healthy). This fact shows that if students had snack time they could use the energy in a class that would require lots of energy. Also, Snacks can complement learning in the classroom by giving students boosts of energy rather than empty calories (Fleck). This fact shows that students need the energy boost to learn something. Finally, Children may also need to fill certain nutrition gaps left by meals (Healthy). This shows that if snack was allowed it could lead to students eating something that they might not have been able to eat last meal. If middle school students were allowed to have snack time they would have more energy that they might need to do physical activity or just to concentrate. To conclude, if middle students could have snack time it could benefit in many ways. Including, increasing energy, filling an empty stomach, improving classroom behavior, and increasing the ability to focus. Snack for middle school students will solve all of those moments when kids can't concentrate because of their hungry
