Argumentative writing Imagine a middle school with teens having fun, doing good in class, and getting good grades. They are physically fit and healthy and they make good choices in what they do and what they think. However this is not happening because middle school does not have recess. Kids are suffering, getting bad grades, and getting stressed out. Middle schoolers should have recess at school.
One reason middle school student should have recess is it gives students a break to relax and to get fresh air and to clear their heads. A recent survey of middle school students show that student need to have recess to get a brain break from school work so they do not get too much stress from work and it will help you think better. 9/10 of students think we should have recess because they need a break from school work. This could help students to get a break and give students a time to get to know each other better. Scholastic ran an article that entitled “Recess makes Kids Smarter” in which it states that kids sit there getting told to be quite all day and they need a break from sitting in seats all day.

In a recently interview with a mother of a teenager and asked her a few questions and asked if she thinks middle schoolers need recess she said it helps kids blow off steam and that staying healthy is very important for teens. She also stated when she was in middle school she had a break from classwork and got to go outside for about 45min. Having time outside could help kids stay fix and stay active and healthy. CNN news ran an article that entitled “Why Kids Need Recess and Exercise” in which states that only 42% of U.S. schools get most of their exercise from recess. That 42% of students are at risk of becoming obese and getting really sick if they are in a room of sick people or if they do not have enough fresh
