If a person were to smoke marijuana for the first time it can stay in a person’s system for weeks after the affects has gone away ("How Long Weed Stays in Your System | | AllWeedNews," n.d.). In Alaska, a state where marijuana is legal the biggest concern is when a police officer pull over an impaired driver that may have THC (the key element in marijuana that is responsible for the effects of someone being high) in their body for weeks and then tested for the cause of impairment they can get charged for that being part of their impairment ("How do Alaska police test for marijuana in drivers suspected of DUI? - Alaska Dispatch News," n.d.). This concern does not only affect Alaska but other states that are considering about legalizing marijuana. Vermont voted no on the legalization of marijuana do to the increase of fatal accidents in Colorado ("Pot legalization’s sobriety test - CSMonitor.com," n.d.). Study were released by the Rock Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area in Colorado has indeed increase since the legalization of Marijuana ("Study finds fatal crashes in Colorado have risen since legalized marijuana | Colorado Springs Gazette, News," n.d.) This shows that there is no control over the use of Marijuana. Also this has shown marijuana to be more dangerous in the terms of people that use it and attempt to
