Marijuana Mayhem Many laws, court cases and government have been upheld in the process of legalization of marijuana. Throughout time bills have been passed and bills have been looked upon but it is the bills with solid facts backing them that will make it out of our justice system victoriously. While the author of this article tried right away to scare his backing audience he also didn’t do himself good by using the oldest opinion in the books “Marijuana is an addictive, gateway drug.”
Every time I hear that I think its complete bullshit because there is no scientific evidence backing that and with all humans anything can be emotionally and mentally addictive if we tell our bodies that we depend on it. When we look into research all we have …show more content…
Also the more and more cannabis gets legalized the less prescription drugs people will have to take, which would be a great benefit because of all the harmful side effects they bring. However, the expanding use of prescription drugs directs me towards the comparison the author made when he compared the United States to Amsterdam when it comes to the increase in crime. Which that comparison cannot be made because of the fact that Amsterdam has legalized any drug which would make sense why their crime rate is at an all-time high. With the legalization of cannabis in the united states it would not only cause peace, but illegal drug trade would be put to rest and the crime rate would go down dramatically. You wouldn’t have to go to some shady area to get your medicine. You would to be able to walk in to a trusted pharmacy and the get safe high grade medicine that you deserve.
