Let’s hear it for the new millennium! Remember the year 2000 when the world was supposed to end and the world was supposed to rapidly change? Well it has changed ranging from technology, hospital care, and even legalizing marijuana. What? Yes legalizing marijuana is on the ballet and has been. Smoke shops opened up everywhere, almost anyone has access to a medical marijuana card. Can you imagine walking into a store and you see a child buying marijuana on their way to school or wherever there going. Some think that legalizing marijuana can help the economies debt however some still believe that it will just be yet another stupid thing kids can get away with. In this paper I will evaluate both sides evaluating the pros and cons of each ending.

There are gangs and drug dealers whom are capitalizing on anyone willing to purchase their products. This can potentially be dangerous, as stated earlier depending on the potency can potentially cause a negative effect on someone whom doesn’t smoke marijuana that often. If it were to be legalized the government would be able to monitor the potency being dealt, track those purchasing it, and can even see the medical reasons why it is being purchased and compare it to the medicine the hospital. It may help and or change the way medicine is distributed when diagnosing someone with cancer, or any other extreme medical condition. However, because it is not legalized there are many non-experienced kids, young adults, and even those grown adults growing out of their home which is not professionally studied and sold like it’s nothing. These dealers having little knowledge or potentially care for whom they are selling it to. These dealers are not handing out questionnaires and they may not even asking the customer what is wrong with them and if they have any history with smoking. The potency is not even taken into consideration all they care is about making the sell and not getting caught. The government is losing on much capitalism by not legalizing this product.
