Is the company responsible as a whole? Ralphs’ should be accountable for Misiolek’s actions. For starters, they were inforned about Misiolek’s behavior, at some point. The final judgement was fair. For starters, each woman received more than enough money to live off of, if they invest their money wisely. Secondly, each women should not expect to get rich off Kroger. The four remaining ladies were being greedy when they refuse the $30.6

Should Kroger Have to Pay? The company that should have to pay, should be Ralphs. Kroger should not have to pay for anything at all. First and foremost, this was an ongoing problem before they brought the smaller grocery store chain. Second, Ralphs should be held responsible because they did nothing once finding out about their naughty store manager. Ralphs executives made the decision to keep Misiolek, Kroger, did not make the decision. Based on the article, the employer can do several things to prevent actions similar to actions similar to Misiolek. One thing that can be done, is establishing a sexual harassment policy. The sexual harassment policy should outline the following things: what is sexual harassment, state sexual harassment will not be allowed, the process of filing a sexual harassment complaint, and you will not allow anyone to get back at someone at making a sexual harassment complaint. (Barreiro) Along with a sexual harassment policy, conducting training workshop about sexual harassment is a good idea. During the workshop, you can explain what sexual harassment is, encourage employees to speak up about sexual harassment in the workplace, and review the policy. In other words, you will explain the policy in your workshop. (Barreiro) The third thing an employer can do is make their presence known. To do this, employers can talk their employees frequently. It is best to ask managers to give you feedback about what they see in the workplace as well.
