Should Katniss Everdeen Be Used In Catching Fire, Mockingjay?

The Hunger Games series is broken up between four films: The Hunger Games (year), Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part 1, Mockingjay Part 2. In the first movie, the main character, Katniss Everdeen, is introduced. At this time, she was an avid hunter, and was the one who fed the family. She lived in District 12 in the country of Panem, along with her mother and her sister Prim. Each year, the Capitol of the country of Panem throws an event called The Hunger Games, that requires two members—tributes—from each district to be brought to an arena where they fight to their death. This year, Katniss volunteers as tribute, along with a boy named Peeta Mallark, the baker’s son, who has a crush on Katniss. Throughout the rest of the film, Katniss and Peeta go through training and endure their first game. …show more content…
In the beginning of the second film, Catching Fire, Katniss and Peeta prepare to go on their victory tour that stops at all the districts, when they get a surprise visit from Snow, the President of the Capitol. Snow makes it very clear that he doesn’t appreciate her rising in power, and tells her that he’s watching her. Later in the movie, Katniss and Peeta attend a celebration at the capital, where she meets the head game maker, Plutarch. Plutarch shows Katniss his watch which has a mocking jay on it. She then finds out that her symbol, the mocking jay, is inspiring districts to rebel, and also that she is gaining power. In the third addition, Mocking Jay Part 1, Snow is starting to realize the huge threat that Katniss poses to him. As Peeta has been taken hostage by the Capitol, Katniss and Coin, the president of the 12 rebellious districts, stage an extraction. The extraction is successful, and Katniss is reunited with Peeta, but he isn’t the same. In the 2nd part, we find out that Peeta has been brain washed by president Snow to hate Katniss.
