Currently in America immigration is a serious problem. Many people feel that the United States of America should take in immigrants and refugees, while others feel the U.S should not. I am however on the side opposing immigration in the United States. First, the United States needs to restrict immigration. The U.S should make new laws to limit those who are coming to America. President Trump tried to make a law to slow immigration from the Middle East, but it was not accepted. Many people felt Trump’s “muslim ban” was unconstitutional.Those who think the Constitution is set in stone need to know “our constitution allows for congress to set and change the rules of admission based on evolving needs” (Dean-Wright). If more people would back making laws restricting immigration, the U.S, could eliminate the problems of immigrants. Donald Trump’s bill to ban immigration from muslim dominant countries was perceived as a straight forward no muslim ruling. Even though it seems nobody would accept a non muslim ban, “55% of agreed opposing muslim immigration”(Reid). More immigrants means more threats to the Americans. If these precautions were made before, it would have been easier to prevent acts like the San Bernardino, California attack, caused by two muslim immigrants, resulting in 14 people dead. Next, the terror groups could easily expand into the U.S. ISIS is already using social media to recruit, but if America could contain all outside sources it, will make it easier to stop terrorists. Last, radical immigrants scare U.S citizens. If America can eliminate terrorists, it would lower the fear of the citizens of the United States. Terrorists look to inflict fear into their enemy and if it is stopped they are
