About 11.4 million immigrants are currently living in the U.S., not counting those who have been deported in the last years due to the SB 1070 legislative act presented in 2012. The nation of immigrants needs to take action and needs to be supported. Americans should definitely support immigration reforms not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it strengthens families, our economy, and our country. They do not understand the feeling of not being wanted. If you were to live in another country and there weren’t any jobs available for you, what would you do? How would you and your family survive to keep your economic establishment safe?
Those who have immigrant parents and that were born in the U.S. have the right to live in this country and not be deported. As a citizen of the United States, I wouldn’t be able to have a happy life without my parents being here. I am speaking for other families too, since my parents became citizens of the U.S. due to hard work and like any other person would come to this country illegally; they come for a chance, because this is a country of opportunities- opportunity to succeed and have a better life.
Americans should support immigration reforms because we can all make a difference and make this country a better place economically. It is important that immigrants stand out, unite, and speak up; as well as other people living in the U.S., we all have human rights! Many immigrants come to this country because it is a place where they know they will have a better life and especially economically. Put yourself in their shoes. You never know how someone really feels until you listen to what they have to
