Many people wonder why these immigrants may even want to enter the US, but little do they know, these immigrants are trying to escape brutal violence. Many of these children are coming from Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, and Guatemala, which has the highest death rate. In these countries, there is a serious amount of gang association and drug abuse. According to an August 2014 article, McClatchy-Tribune News Service says," We found children fleeing domestic abuse, gang violence, and drugs. So you wouldn't know that some of these families starve day to day due to having no money to buy food or live the life they wish to live. Many of these children suffer almost losing their life because they aren't receiving the proper care and nurturance they need. As said in a May 2013 article, "Others", referring to the immigrant children,"are trying to break free from poverty and get a better life in the United States." They come to reunite with family that already live in the states to provide them with a better chance at a successful life. They have a chance to have an education and become something in the future.
