Should Immigrants Be Allowed In America Essay

On average, “illegal aliens cost U.S. taxpayers more than $100 billion each year.” (ABC News) America is in debt enough, and they don’t have the money to spend on citizens from other countries. The United States of America must first sufficiently supply for their own, before supplying for another country's citizens. America needs more jobs, lack of debt, and knowing we are safe on American grounds.. None of those problems will be corrected if America has more citizens, who aren’t from there. Immigration cannot be allowed in America because of the cost, loss of jobs, and terrorism. As stated previously, “illegal aliens cost U.S taxpayers more than $100 billion each year.” (ABC News). $100 billion is an outrageous price that America cannot pay, for people who aren’t even citizens here. Even though the individuals are fleeing terrible circumstances, they are not America’s responsibility. America must worry about their citizens first, and immigrants second. But, it is not compassionate to be so terribly in debt that you’re trillions in debt to another country. It is not compassionate to cut so many benefits for jobs, and cut pay, and have inflation skyrocket. It is not compassionate to have the citizens who work, be scared they won’t be able to put food on the table for dinner tonight. It’s not fair to the Americans who live here, to be competing against others who come over. It’s not compassionate to Americans for them to not be sure if they’re even going to have social security when they retire. Compassion is understandable, but there must be a line drawn.
