Should Illegal Immigrants Be Legalized Essay

There are eleven million illegal immigrants in the U.S. today. Many of them are confused on what to do because they want to live here, but government workers don't want them. We cannot just deport all of them. They have all broken the law by entering the U.S. This is a big topic because it has been a problem for a long time (Siegel, Duffin ). Illegal immigrants should be allowed a path to legalization, but not citizenship. Making these immigrants legal would fix a lot of problems. For example, if the immigrants were legal we would not have to deport them (Procon).
If there was a system of making the immigrants legal then they would be allowed to drive, work, and leave and enter the country. There are quite a few immigrants who came into the country illegally and now can’t get out. They have been stuck in the country for many years. Some reasons they would need to go back home are seeing family, finding jobs, and finding a new place to live. There is a very small amount of states in the U.S. That allow illegal immigrants to get a drivers license. This is more important than it seems because it is very difficult to get around without a car. Many people known that immigrants will do a large amount of jobs that others might not want. If a criminal were to break the law they would not be rewarded, so why should the immigrants. There are lots of people that do not look into topics like this and those are the kind of people that will judge. They would look down on immigrants without researching the topic more. These people would not be able to judge the immigrants anymore if the immigrants had all the rights as an American. Equality is also a big topic right now and this would help with that
