In todays society illegal immigrants are looked down upon. Many believe they should be deported. They do not stop to think what this means for the deportee. Deportation does not only hurt the illegal, but it hurts those around them. There are illegals with families. When one is deported, it tears a family apart. Just the thought of them can get people full of hot air. However, is it right to hate our roots? Many people ignore the fact that we were initially immigrants. When we were immigrants we did things that are far worse than what Mexicans do. When we first came to the Americas, it was home to the Indians. Within 200 years, we would kill, steal, harm these people. We killed entire tribes to force them off the land for us to expand. We kidnapped the children from tribes so the culture would die out. We forced tribes to walk hundreds of miles in winter to new lands. Yet people think mexicans are worse? Mexicans who come looking for work so they can support themselves or their families?
