Today, one of the choices people can make is whether or not they want to terminate a pregnancy. Now there is a big debate in society to whether it is okay to abort a fetus that is in a womb. Now while God gave us the freedom to make decisions, that does not mean people can make decisions that overrule people from making their own. And having an abortion does not let the baby to make his choice to whether or not they live. Erikson does a great job at explaining this by saying, “[f]reedom must not be taken from a human who has not forfeited this” (194). Terminating a pregnancy takes away the freedom from the unborn child. While some make the argument the fetus is not considered a human yet, but who determines when someone is a human or not? No one is in the position to say whether if the fetus is a person or not, and because it is undeterminable, it is not worth the risk of killing an innocent unborn child. By creating people to be rationale beings with a personality, God created people to be distinct from other creations. Each and every person has their own personality which makes them unique and different from everyone else. Another way humans are made distinct from God’s other creation is by our ability to make choices. Making the right choice requires that person to critical thinking, and only humans are capable of doing that. Also What drives humans to make the right decisions is their sense of morality and ethical code, unlike animals who just base their decisions on survival. While the Bible may not say exactly how man is created in his image, we could still compare mankind to God’s other creation and see how we are unique and
