Part of that is because it is so dangerous. Cloned animals are born with birth defects which forces an animal to suffer. Cloning can also affect the mother carrying the baby due to painful labor. According to the article, “This House Would Ban Human Cloning.”, “The nuclear transfer technique that produced Dolly required 277 embryos, from which only one healthy and viable sheep was produced.” A cloned baby might be born with severe birth defects and cloned animals that grow to adulthood may have unexpected defects as well. Another issue is that many cloned embryos do not develop they usually die shortly after birth. According to the article “This House Would Ban Human Cloning.”, “The success rate ranges from 0.1 percent to 3 percent, which means that for every 1000 tries, only one to 30 clones are made.” So if cloning does not work on animals, it would be a waste of time to try and do it on humans as …show more content…

People will care less if a loved one passes because they have a clone to replace them which eventually is the same person. The most important reason I would like to keep it banned is because we do not know whether or not it is safe enough to do for humans. We have had plenty of practice on animals, but no one to confirm whether or not this will work for the best.…

Despite years of endless research, approximately 95% of cloning attempts fail, leading to many unnecessary deaths in humans and animals. Even the clone could receive severe problems such as physiological impairments, severe birth defects, and an abrupt death. If cloning is practiced largely, many test subjects will die,…
