In Texas, a second-grade teacher went viral for her no-homework policy, earning lots of gratitude by parents across the country of young students. Children around North America don’t like doing their homework or find difficulties doing it. Therefore, should students stop receiving homework by their teachers? In the first place, homework puts students off learning, it takes a lot of time up and of course students have different living styles. In other words, homework is not an accurate way to teach educatees.

To begin, homework does the opposite of furthering a student's education. Studies have shown that many student find homework stressful, boring and tiring. In fact, in the UK, Oakgrove head teacher John Harkin told The Guardian, “that 600 - 800 students between the age 15 and 24 commits suicide annually. For the simple reason that, there is many subjects to do and so little time. There are 4-5 subjects that are teached to children everyday and teachers have the tendency to assign homework for all subjects on the same day. Since, students spend around 6 hours a day at school and probably have extracurricular activities give them less time to hang out with people or have time for themselves. In Finland, students spend an average half an hour of homework a night whereas in America it is recommended to spend two hours of homework a night, with this in mind Finnish students are one of the best performers in academics and America places below them.
