Some people think that because we live in an ever-changing society, it is pointless to teach history; however; the majority of the population believes that regardless of our fast paced lives in the twenty-first century, history is vital to the education of our country. The vote for teaching history resulted in 51% saying yes and 49% opposing the idea according to Gabe Meier (A renowned pollster) . A vote so close makes it hard to determine an obvious solution.
