High School students should get drug tested. Nearly 23 percent of high school students use tobacco products. More than 90 percent of those teens smoke cigarettes, cigars, hookahs or pipes, according to the report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. High School Students think that they are cool of they smoke, but in reality they are not. Many students don't know what diseases they can catch by smoking. They can cause lung cancer, COPD, Heart Disease, Stroke, Asthma, Reproductive Effect In Women, Diabetes, Blindness, and over 10 other types of cancer. Students don't know how dangerous smoking can really be. It can take your life. Some students smoke before a big test and pass with a high grade. When asked they say “ It's takes the pressure off and makes me smarter”.

Even middle school students are starting to smoke. It seems that everywhere we turn there is a person smoking. Everyone is going to get second-hand smoke. The smokers are putting the people, who chose not to smoke, health in danger. High school students may not think it is a really big deal, but it really is. They are not looking into the future and see where smoking is leading them to. The students could be smoking once a day but then later on down the road they are smoking a carton a day. The saying” live in the present” is very wrong when it comes to smoking. Look into the future, and see what you are going to become if you keep walking down the path that you are traveling on. The students complain on how they bring in the drug dogs and worry if they are going to get caught. They bring them in because we have lost so many people's trust because they lie and lie.
