Argumentative Essay: The Fight For Gun Rights

Imagine a gazelle minding its own business, feeding in the field. The gazelle is an amazing animal and is quite calm by nature. Something you will notice about the animal though, is the antler it possesses. These antlers are used for a number of things, but one of the main uses is for protection. If and when this gazelle gets attacked by a mountain lion or any other predator it can use its antlers to protect itself. Without these antlers the gazelle would surely die due to no means of protection. It is simply just a completely different story. Now, with this in mind, this is exactly what happens when you take our carrying rights away from our citizens. According to breitbart.com 92% of all mass shootings between January 2009 and July 2014 happened in Gun-free zones. As you can see the trend is blatantly obvious and will be stated numerous times throughout this paper, criminals do not obey the law. During the time we have together it will be explained that gun rights should be able to be exercised because of our political rights, practical uses for firearms, and the personal benefits of firearms for each person.
