Should Gun Laws Be Illegal

Anti-gun activists argue that having stricter gun laws would prevent the people who aren’t legally allowed to get firearms from obtaining them and using them to commit violent crimes. They also claim that guns are weapons marketed to kill people with great speed and precision. But, none of this is true. Every day, millions of people find ways to get illegal things, whether it be drugs, guns, or money. Many of the weapons used in violent crimes today aren’t legally obtained in the first place, they are usually bought of somebody on the street who couldn’t even tell you where these weapons are coming from. Laws will never be able to prevent people from getting the things they want. Of course, there will be people who don’t agree. They may say that we don’t need assault weapons to hunt animals, and making these assault weapons illegal or limited will help prevent or make it more difficult for people to gain access to these weapons of “mass destruction”. I will say however, that these so called assault weapons make certain kinds of hunting very easy. For example, while wild boar hunting, you are often shooting at many moving targets, so having a faster fire rate with higher magazine capacity makes it easier. Wild boar hunting is also something that helps our country greatly because we are eradicating a pest that causes more than a billion dollars in damage every year. You also don’t need these weapons of mass destruction to cause severe damage. If somebody walked into a crowded place with a shotgun loaded with buckshot, they could cause more damage per shot than you ever could with an AR. So it causes me to question what classifies something as an assault weapon. I also would like to question how state laws can actually restrict your abilities to get
