It causes childhood obesity because the more candy you eat, the harder it is to stop eating. My question to schools is, why help kids get unhealthy when you can give them healthy foods? Too many kids nowadays have too much candy at one time. Sure, one piece of candy here and there is okay, but having three king-size snicker bars at the school lunchtime is just too much. If we stop selling candy from schools, the child obesity rate will go down.…

One student says “Usually we go to the student store and I'll buy a bag of Cheetos...or like chips, sometimes a Gatorade, yeah" when asked what they will do when the school lunch doesn’t fill them up enough. This is a problem that is hard to deal with, because having bags of snacks that students can munch on sort of goes back on the whole idea of “healthy lunches” and has the student spending money on top of their bought lunch just to get filled up for the rest of the day. Giving students a healthy option is ideal, but having them eat something that tastes bad and won’t even fill them up doesn’t seem right. There are some arguments that some people can make as to why healthy school lunches are extremely important and why they mustn’t change.…

“Instead of banning particular food and drinks, schools should focus on teaching students to lead active, healthy lives - offering classes on healthy cooking, or gym classes that make it fun to be active. Removing unhealthy choices is no way to teach students how to make healthy ones.” I agree with this statement because it is not the choice of the schools to try and force the children to stop eating candy and drinking soda. It is one’s decision to stop and change what they eat. If schools think we should start eating healthy, then they shouldn’t serve the students' food that contain a lot of grease and fattening products.…
