Should Gay Parents be able to Adopt? Callie was just released from juvie; no place to call home, no bed to sleep in, and no one to love her. Lena took one look at Callie and knew she wanted to provide her a home, bed and love. Lena became Callie’s foster mom. Flash forward 2 years and Lena is now Callie’s adoptive mom. Family is so much deeper than blood, ask any adopted child. They will say that without adoption they would be homeless. Everyone, children and homosexual people, deserve a place to call home. No social worker would turn down an African american couple from adopting so why a gay couple? Because there’s no mother or father figure?
