Girls may have the ability to play on a boys sports team but due to their fragile body structure they should not be allowed to play with dominant men. Because sports were designed to represent male fitness, they play to men’s natural strengths. When boys hit puberty, their bodies produce more testosterone, while triggers muscle growth and helps fuel aggression and competitive instincts. Girls’ bodies start to produce estrogen, which helps them retain more fat. Boys and girls might be more comfortable playing sports with the same sex. Boys might fear being too aggressive with girls on the playing field. They might also fear failing in front of girls who they like socially. Girls might be more timid when playing with boys, which might inhibit their athletic skills. They also might feel more supported by an all-girls team than a coed one.
