To start off is it ethical for a patient to get Euthanized? The Reason this can be considered ethical is because the choice is solely decided by the patient and also that the doctor is not liable for what happens to the patient. Yet again this decision is the right of the patient and if they decide to take the procedure they are doing it with full knowledge of what they are committing to doing. When a patient decides on Euthanizing they are making a choice of what to do with their life and this choice should be respected if that is what the patient truly wants. If anything else just as one of the many names Euthanizing geos by that being death with dignity implies that the patient is going on their own terms in a way that makes them feel as if they still have some control over their life. Not only are they fighting for control but they are also in unbearable pain many times so much so that euthanasia feels as if it is the only way they can relieve the pain. Even though these people may be hurting there are still reasons why people still feel euthanasia is unethical. Ironically some people feel that patients may regret the procedure but again patients have to go through a long process of confirming that they are ready to go through with euthanasia before it is time for the procedure. Except in most cases it is the families of the patients that are disappointed by their love one’s going through with assisted suicide and in the end it’s the patient’s final
