Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine censorship on television, and films. Should these forms of entertainment be as censored as they are? In all countries people seem to disagree with censoring entertainment. The least voted were people who were indifferent. A total of 5022 people were surveyed 4254 in the U.S 369 in Europe and 399 in other countries. More people seem to agree that entertainment should be uncensored. This survey was conducted by the same group but this time was separated into two groups, male and female. The green which are the males seem to disagree strongly with the state of censorship. The females who are in blue mostly agree strongly with the state of censorship. A total of 5022 were surveyed 1685 females and 3337 males. The indifferent people are the lowest voted group again.
Summary/ Findings Should different forms of entertainment be censored or uncensored? Censorship is an interesting topic which a lot of information can be found. The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC) had opinions on censorship in a multitude of topics covering censorship. The NCAC are of course against censorship so they discuss why censorship is bad an interested person can learn a lot from this group. Movies are a form of speech, so under the first amendment removing or editing the film is inappropriate stifling of protected speech.
