Should Eminem Be A Better Artist?

Those in favor who vote for Kanye for being a better artist, can also agree that he produces a higher quality of beats in his tunes. Think about it. Kanye is a rapper, song-writer, producer, fashion designer, and an entrepreneur. He is the best selling artist of all time, he owns 92 awards out of 369 nominations. He has 7 platinum albums while Eminem has 2, this shows that he is the undeniable exposition of being an iconic artist. For example, on the Genius website an editor named Differentexoticfishes stated that “Eminem easily the better MC, but I’d take Kanye for overall best hip-hop artist – more creative, innovative, and almost his whole discography is critically acclaimed.” This is important because it explains that Kanye does induce …show more content…
Eminem was the first successful Caucasian rapper since the Beastie Boys, he successfully accumulated sales and respect because he was the most influential MC of his generation. An editor stated on reddit that “Eminem is a better artist. But I am both Kanye and Eminem stan. If we were to put this to perspective in depth it'd definitely be Eminem. He has had the biggest impact any rapper will ever have. His record sales. Be mindful that MMLP2 sold 5.5 million! More than any Kanye album if I am correct. He had white and black kids changing their hair color to blonde. In terms of falling off Eminem definitely had the biggest but each artists had a bad album, even though they both had moments. I think the problem is that Eminem has been out long and lost subject matter but still releases pretty dope stuff. If i’m right we might see that from Kanye soon considering he is talking about just his fashion line, Chicago, money, and family. Also I do agree that artistically Kanye is better. But technically Eminem. In this case Eminem is better but Kanye is still great and amazing and i'm excited what he does with swish.” to put in differently, Eminem was a huge impact in the 2000’s but as time progressed the artist struggled through many negative situations. To my way of thinking, Eminem has been through alot but Kanye’s music is better in all …show more content…
Eminem or Kanye? In my opinion Kanye would make my top 5, that is because Kanye has one of the best discographies in music history. Eminem hasn’t dropped a good album in 10 years. Kanye is underrated as a rapper because he is not technically advanced as Eminem. But, I however, give more attention to Kanye just because he just simply has a better formation than Eminem, Kanye stays relevant. Eminem will rap so fast that many people would not be able to understand what he is trying to verbalize through the song. That doesn’t mean I don’t like Eminem it is just that he can not make good music because he focuses on spitting, he is from a pure lyrical standpoint, so rappers will place him higher but Kanye simply makes better music in my opinion. In the scheme of things, I think Kanye has an immense ramification in the hip hop world because of the way his production is set up. which surprisingly redesigns the friction between humankind and music. Kanye’s power resides in his wild creativity and expressiveness, his mastery of style, and his deep and uncompromising attachment to a self-made aesthetic that he expresses through means that are entirely of the moment: rap music, digital downloads, fashion, Twitter, blogs, live streaming video. He is a genius in modern day music to me, with that being said, both of them have tremendous talents which represents rap well. They are two completely different artists, different styles, sound, topics,

On June 18, 2013, music fans argued over if J. Cole, Mac Miller, or Kanye West had the best hip album released that day. Nearly universally, music fans declared Kanye West’s Yeezus as the least favorable of the 3 albums. Fast forward a month later, critics universally acclaimed the experimental album, calling it "noisy, gripping, maddening, potent” according to Alexis Petridis of The Guardian. This review, along with other positive acclimations of the album, seemed to be driven by the well produced sonic direction Kanye took as a main stream artist. This is considering that 3 years prior, he released My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy which is not only his highest acclaimed album, but is one of the highest acclaimed albums of all time…but also…
