Should Drug Tests Be Paid For Student Athletes?

Drug tests should be required for all athletes. Students should have to take a drug test because if players don’t then the team will be more likely to fail. If everyone on the team passes the test then the coach won’t have to worry about the scores going downhill because of drugs. If school athletes really want to play sports they will not do drugs. Doing drugs will ruin the opportunity to earn scholarships, jobs, or even having a life in the future. Unfortunately, athletes may care about drugs more then there career but drug tests for student athletes can prevent drugs from ruining lives in the future. School athletes have many opportunities to have a good life in the future if they try their hardest and if they go down the right path during those times. More important, athletes should have the opportunity to experience the horrendous feeling that they may not pass the test. Teams depend on their teammates to always be available, drugs can change your athletic abilities, and students join sport teams as a positive activity to avoid getting into trouble and the presence of drugs in sports defeats the goal.

If athletes really wanted to play sports they would stop themselves from doing drugs or prevent themselves from doing them in the future. Students should be provided with a drug test and see what can happen to them if they ever do drugs. Drugs will give students and people all over the world to lose their lives. Sometimes people even poured liquids into the cups they pee in to pass the drug test. People should be more aware that drugs aren’t “cool” or “fun” because if they were smart they would realize that drugs could ruin their lives. Schools around the United States of America should start enabling the opportunity for school athletes to take drug tests before and during the time they play
