Growing up most kids can’t wait until they turn sixteen so they can get their driver license. It’s even a dream to most teens and to take that away would be a world of terror. After reading both articles “Should the Driving Age Be Raised to 18?” and “Do Teens Need Graduated Licenses?” I can explain the different opinions on why teens shouldn’t get a license or drive at sixteen and if teens should go though a program called “Graduated Driver License” to keep lives safe and reduce car accidents yearly. In my opinion waiting for a license until your eighteen is a bad idea to a teen but a great idea to grown-ups. I get that waiting keeps the world safe from car accidents and keeps people out the hospital, but we shouldn't change something

I think people should be able to drive at whatever age they feel like they can safely drive. I think the minimum age should be thirteen, and as long as you’re a teenager, driving tests should be harder. Also, instead of just passing, everyone has to get 100%. As long as we know that teens will be safe, they can drive. If they won’t be safe and won’t drive carefully and responsibly, then they shouldn’t be able to drive.…

This will make it to where they have the freedom to go as they please and have that freedom. While some young teens do not care if it is raised cause either way they still get to drive. Some adults say, that in raising the driving age will make it to where their will be less accidents on the road; however, that might be true to some degree some students need it for a job others to go to school, or even to be able to move out on their own.…

There are teens at the age of eighteen who have their license and can drive their friends around but lack experience. If kids are driving by themselves for an extra year, then they will be more responsible at the age of eighteen when they drive with others. With this inexperience, they have a crash rate higher than any other age group. If teens start earlier and drive more before they are free to drive their friends' places teens should lower the number of accidents they have on the road a substantial amount. Teens should be able to drive at a younger age because it can help them be more responsible.…

Although many people believe that a person should have their high school diploma before he or she gets their driver's license, but I disagree because you can be sixteen to get your driver’s license and some people are eighteen before they get there high school diploma. I don’t think that you should have a high school diploma before you get your driver’s because when kids turn sixteen they want to start doing things for themselves, and they don’t want their parents driving them around when the 20 because they didn’t get their high school diploma. When you turn sixteen you want to go to your friends parties, and it would be embarrassing if you show up with your parents coming to drop you off and leaving, then when the party was over it might be one in the morning on a Sunday morning then you would have to wait for your parents to show and drive you back home.…
