Make America Great Again? Wrong. Our current president of the United States, Donald Trump should be impeached. His presidency, so far, has given America reasons to why we shouldn’t keep him as our current president. We jump to Mr. Trump claiming false accusations against Hillary Clinton and former president Barrack Obama (Apuzzo), to building a wall across Mexico and spending taxpayers money (Raju), and having ties with Russia (Ackerman). Mr. Trump should impeached, and there are many reasons why he is not the best choice for America. On March 4th, current president Donald Trump had accused former president Barrack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower (Stracqualursi). As the President of the United States, Mr. Trump cannot be telling lies and spreading them as that is not reputable for America. It has already been proven by the F.B.I director, James Comey, that Barrack Obama did not wiretap Trump Tower. James Comey releases the statement, “...he had [Donald Trump] "no information" to support claims by the President that he was wiretapped on the orders of predecessor Barack Obama.” (Collinson). But that’s not all, Vladimir Putin, current leader of Russia had “personally ordered a covert effort to hurt Hillary Clinton’s chances and aid Mr. Trump.” (Apuzzo.) The image of …show more content…
Trump should be impeached, he plans on building a wall between Mexico and the United States. Before Trump became president, he had promised on building a wall that would stretch across Mexico and he promises that Mexico would pay for it, but there’s a catch (Raju). On January 6th, New York Rep. Chris Collins announces that “...that American taxpayers would front the cost for the wall...” but “...he [Chris Collins] was confident Trump could negotiate getting the money back from Mexico.” (Raju). As the president of a great country, he needs to leave America as a place that accepts all diversity. This moves us on to the next topic, Mr. Trump and his ties to

Walls are meant to divide, protect, and encloses areas, they are thought to be security in homes and buildings, they were not meant to be used as barriers between friendly countries that can offer things we cannot have in hand without their help and support. However, President Trump sees our neighbors as threats, he wants to divide North America with this so-called “shield”. Does Trump not understand that walls can be broken, or climbed over, or that immigrants can simply go around the wall or dig under it? In my opinion, the wall that President Donald Trump wants to build is a waste of time, currency, and resources. If you think about it, the wall is 2,000 miles long, which will take an extraneous amount of time to build, nevertheless, with…

In addition, Trump’s abusive tactics on how treats others, puts the U.S. in a unhealthy relationship with the world. To start, Trump has a problem with criticizing and punishing foreign leaders that don’t agree with or comply with his stances and demands. Trump’s proposal of establishing a 20% import tax coming from the U.S.-Mexican boarder is a prime example. It is a coercive measure “that is nothing more than a symbolic chokehold, punishing Mexico’s Government for noncompliance. Possible policies such as the implied tax increase are anything but presidential, considering only Trump’s demands instead of The United States overall global relationships” (Rodriguez-Cayro).…

George W. Bush was the 43rd president of the United States who took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution”, but some may say that he failed to do so. Eight months into Bush’s first term as president, the September, 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks occurred - leading to Bush’s “war on terrorism”. This led to the cruel interrogations of terrorists, the removal of rights to trials and court reviewed cases, and the unreasonable and illegal surveillance of American citizens. These three events made by George Bush and his administration may prove that the president went against his oath and did not follow the constitution.…

The slogan that propelled Donald Trump into his influence across the nation, “make America great again,” shows that Trump sees America has fallen downhill and has hopes to improve it. Trump wants to see this country go back to the prosperous country it once was, but he does not know how to filter his words according to most, which makes him seem frightening. Despite Clinton’s accusation about the risk of Donald Trump, his clever use of scare tactics gives voters a sense of security because of his ideas concerning immigration and terrorism. According to Molly Ball, author of “Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear,” Donald Trump uses fear to his advantage in hopes of winning the presidential election.…

The approach that Trump is taking is harsh, but common. Building a wall to protect something that has been done since Hadrian’s Wall; consequently, placing a wall along a border to protect a nation is a medieval idea. However, it would have social and economic downfalls. Our relationship with the Mexican government would be strained by insisting that they pay the fee to resurrect a wall keeping their own citizens out of our country. This could be dangerous for United States citizens living along the border, because immigrants would be increasingly desperate.…
